The house is a split entry design. You can enter from the front door or attached garage. There is a conveniently located closet in the ceramic tile entry. The main entry door has a side window that lights the area. Notice the security system touch pad on the wall as you enter the house. There is also video surveillance for maximum security!

At the top of the stairs you enter the spacious living room with neutral decor. This photo shows some of the recent updates in our makeover including the Mohawk Smartstrand carpet and curtains to match the decor. We chose carpet because it is soft, warm, quiet, and comfortable.

This is a view from the opposite side of the livingroom looking back to the stairs. Notice one of the newer light fixtures in the house. You are looking toward the bedrooms and bathroom on the other side of the stairs. RG6 Quad Shield cooper high definition television cable has been installed for Direct TV.

The design is somewhat open but allows for a little separation between the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The house is very light, bright, and airy. Notice the "breakfast bar" in the kitchen for quick, convenient meals.

The kitchen has beautiful custom oak cabinets including the peninsula that provide an enormous amount of storage. There is a "lazy Susan" in the top and bottom corner cabinets making it easy to access items. The counter tops and back splash are Formica 180FX and, they are gorgeous. We installed an under mount stainless steel sink with deep off-set bowls and an Eclipse faucet with a pullout sprayer for even more pizazz. The Tarkett: Inspire "Ceramica Boulevard" flooring coordinates with all kitchen colors and does not compete with the counter tops. The stove and refrigerator are a stainless steel matched set from Frigidaire Gallery. The stove is a five burner with grate cook top and convection oven. The refrigerator is an Energy Star model rated to use just $40.00 of electricity a year! The stainless steel vented stove hood is by Broan. An elevated space to the left edge of the photo holds a stainless steel GE microwave oven. A Kenmore Elite stainless steel dishwasher was installed because of it's superior quality and quietness. The kitchen ceiling light matches all the other light fixtures throughout the house. We stripped off the wallpaper that was in the dining room and kitchen and painted with designer colors to coordinate the rooms. Although the photo does not show it, we used a two tone paint scheme in earth tones that give the rooms a warm and honey feeling. See the "Close-Up" section for detailed photos of updates.

The dining room provides a more formal setting for meals. There is a sliding glass door in the dining room that leads to the deck. The antique light fixture in the photo does not stay with the house. We have a brand new fixture still in the box to match the other ones we installed. It will replace the antique one. This photo shows that the dining room is opposite the seating area on the peninsula. When we have family gatherings, we extend the table and seat seven people at it and also have room for more at the peninsula. We chose to use Mohawk Smartstrand carpet in this area, too. We have never had a big spill or accident. If there was, the Smartstrand has a lifetime stain resistance warranty. It's the best carpet you can install in a home.

This is the master bedroom. It has a sliding glass door that leads to the spacious deck. The additional window provides great circulation when air conditioning is not is use. There is a door in this bedroom that leads directly into the bathroom so you don't have to walk into the hall area. There is a "his and her" closet that takes up the entire length of the wall for ample storage. The new Mohawk carpet in the bedroom and designer wall color coordinate with the custom made draperies in the room. Night time can be very special when the moon shines through the glass doors and when the snow sparkles on the deck in the winter.

There is a second bedroom on the upper level. It is updated as well. The carpet is found in all the rooms so everything flows nicely throughout the house. The walls are painted to coordinate with the drapes and bedspread.
